@Netux @ntoskrnl Which kinda falls apart when you want someone to access that DNS name that doesn't want to or cannot change their DNS to something custom, or when you want to do TLS things™ without handing out your own CAs to everyone as well :/
There already are intranets over the internet doing their own thing (which is cool, don't get me wrong!), but it usually requires reconfiguration of your client/router/server or a VPN connection
@snep @ntoskrnl don't forget alternate root servers. The wild net is a weird place.
Mostly in jest, but if you ran an isp you could hijack a tdl by declaring yourself authorative and stop recursing for it.
