@gdinwiddie that sounds like a movie I'd watch - edit: I imagine it like the movies from the late 90s / early 2000s which viewed aliens as enlightend gods who would come to save us from ourselves - but this time in reverse: we understand that we can't rely on aliens and have to help ourselves if things are supposed to get better
