@internetarchive @brewsterkahle These DDoS attacks are aimed at bringing down the Internet, and since 2016 they've been doing DDoS attacks using DNS reflection, which basically amplifies a website's DNS query traffic.
Will this be a stepping stone to scale to the entire internet and bring down global interconnectivity, it is highly likely

Is a clear motive or target of interest to the archive?

Someone else I know of had an attack on a french property website of all things.

There has to be motivation for this kind of nonsense. I Just wonder and slightly worry about what it is fuelling these chaos buffoons.
