@sashin Even worse, we need to make people want to just. At a crosswalk for example, drivers are less likely to yield for pedestrians the higher speed they are carrying. Ie, make them want to drive slower, and they just might want to start yeilding for pedestrians. Rather than having the police at every crosswalk. @TomasHelleberg @sashin @yogthos The people will not just; the people must be made to just. An environment must be created where people will naturally just @yogthos This is a tl;dr of why I hate libs, thanks. Also: domination systems exist, are everywhere and take many shapes. @yogthos My philosophy teacher once told me « formulating a solution to any problem in the form "If everyone would just bablabla" is just an indirect way of formulating the expected final result, not of way to go there. So it's not even a solution it's just stating the expected result. » Her example was often "how do we end sexism in society ?" --> "if everyone would just consider woman and men as equal…" --> nope you just said "if there was no sexism there would be no sexism" it's a tautology @yogthos @yogthos@social.marxist.network 'historically its always been this way so clearly it can never be not this way' *how about no ..* i think we should not excuse violating people just because its 'always been that way' actually. @yogthos with an exception for stopping the use of CFCs apparently. but that's an outlier @yogthos |
@yogthos We gotta make them just!!!
