Gregory's ServerTrackerControl from F-Droid is a really nice system-wide tracker blocker for Android that makes you ask questions like "Why does my alarm clock need telemetry?" :blobfoxthinkgoogly: (I like that one alarm app specifically for its power user features so thankfully I can just deny network access to the whole app with one toggle in here)

Okay, so one disadvantage of setting your browser's search to be Google's new "Web" mode is the same as its advantage: it doesn't do anything but web results so e.g. currency conversion also doesn't work :blobfoxmelt2: Do I just keep DuckDuckGo? This is great! It's a set of productivity tools (not just) for people with executive dysfunction. The main one is a to-do list where you add a task and it helps you break it down into more manageable subtasks. You can even set how detailed a breakdown you want! It's actually a kinda neat use of language models. |
