  Pop-ups and popovers are like trying to read while strobe lights and an airhorn blast away. It's destroying your focus, attention span, and retention of the material. Thank you for the tip!  @rysiek also check out the LibRedirect extension for Firefox, supports a whole bunch of websites and comes configured with a (sane?) default alternative to a lot of common websites, including the above example.
