zFRAG by @LostTrainDude @catsalad @LostTrainDude Disk defrag is one of the most boring games I have ever played. The first turn takes forever to complete! @catsalad @LostTrainDude It's funny, but I think my favorite part about this is that they used one of int10h's fonts. One of my favorites even. (Well, Flexi seems to work best for actual OS usage, but that's a good one for something that can be used in a specific use-case like this.) Nowadays, Windows defrag doesn't display the blocks like this, and Linux and macOS try not to let fragmentation happen in the first place. End of an era. 😢 @catsalad OMG, I don't know if this was ever actually possible with a defrag tool, but manual defragmenting or a fake manual defragmenting with a mouse cursor hopping around pretending to be a human doing the work is so funny to me. 🤣 @catsalad I felt like the smartest man in the world when I did this back in the day. I could tell my friends “see, what I’m doing here is reorganizing my entire hard disk to speed up access and maximize my remaining space” and they’d stare at me with dead eyes and say “we getting beers or not, nerd?” It just struck me how long it’s been since I last used Windoze! “Mid-noughts” as I recall, ‘cept for a few IT checks on Mom’s PC.
