Why don't they improve the bug when uploading avatars and headers in GIF format in Mastodon.social?

I opened an issue on GitHub but it seems that they will not give any solution ☚ī¸

It's a bug when setting up avatars and headers in GIF format that are of very poor quality and lousy colors and it only happens on Mastodon.social.
