Any way to get a four-way rocker D-pad instead of four individual buttons?
Asking for a friend.
(Actually, seriously, this is a big complaint I've seen in reviews of the Clockwork Pi #uConsole)

Just curious, as a handheld is on my radar, are you sourcing the keyboard from something off-the-shelf or building a custom one? I bought one recently just to play round with (http://www.riitek.com/product/259.html), and it's... okay. It would really benefit from some bumps on the FJ or DK keys. @RL_Dane yes this is a modified Rii keyboard but we’ll design our own custom keyboard in the future prototypes Neat! I'd be interesting in seeing how your keyboard plans progress. There doesn't seem to be a lot of good options for handheld keyboards, and the old stock of Blackberry keyboards seems to be drying up quickly. I wonder if someone has plans out there for a FOSS keyboard PCB where you could just get it printed by someone like pcbway and then put in your own through-hole mini switches and a stock MCU. |
@RL_Dane On the Pilet, the D-pad functionality is handled by the navigational switch on the left side. The four buttons on the right are actually the A, B, X, and Y buttons, not a D-pad.
