I got the words "jacuzzi" and "yakuza" confused. Now I'm in hot water with the Japanese mafia.

I have a buddy who spent some time travelling in Japan and he told me apparently the local Jewish street mafia would pronounce yakuza as "jacuzzi" just because of their accent. I guess there was some dispute he faced with them about which part of the street he was allowed to vend, and was rather confused when he was told to go talk to the jacuzzi. He was like, "What? There's a talking jacuzzi?!? And it gets to decide where I can vend?" So, you wouldn't be the first.

@MostlyHarmless Did they at least bring scented candles or soap. If they are taking you out they should leave you smelling fresh.

@MostlyHarmless I don't like to burst your bubble. I mean, who knows what is under there?

@MostlyHarmless Didn’t someone have this exact problem a few months ago? Anyway, the solution is to understand that ‘yakuza’ is pronounced ‘YA-koo-za’, not ‘ya-KOO-za’.
