@publicvoit @Trojaner yep - no public transit. Rural Alberta, Canada is a very expansive place. It might not look like it from a map but when you start charting distances, it's massive. To compare, a European could drive through three countries in the distance I would drive from Edmonton to Calgary. And we call that a day trip. |
@chad @Trojaner Also here: parents in the countryside are very hard to reach via public transportation.
If we would not have our old car, we'd probably use a rented car instead of public transportation.
So yes, cars are a must-have for certain situations.
