Maybe NOW you can decide if FIXING CLIMATE CHANGE IS TOO EXPENSIVE! @ExtinctionR This happens every time the climate swings toward another ice age. Well documented in ice core data. As for 'in your lifetime', you've obviously not read Ray Kurzweil's 'Singularity' books. Me - I'm planning how I will celebrate the new year in 3000. @jaydax @ExtinctionR This is a graph of just the south pole and - assuming it‘s correct - is not a blueprint for how GLOBAL temperatures have been developing and what they are heading at. #ClimateCrisisDenial  @jaydax But remember that's slow trends over hundreds or thousands of years. But only because I can imagine a global level extinction event and a decimation of the human population. I think we'll survive - we're weird that way - but I fear the solution to global warming will be the collapse of humanity back to pre-industrial population levels.  @tbortels @ExtinctionR Change has always been painful. Change for those who refuse to adapt has always been catastrophic. We probably need to collapse, go through an intense time of darkness and violence (which is by no means necessary but we choose ourselves because of fear), to eventually have a chance to reach our next evolutionary step. @ExtinctionR Some people actually believe fortune cookies just like they believe billionaires flying private jets are prescribing solutions for us because they are worried about man made climate change.
