@chfour @ret @LilahTovMoon I had this happen once to some computer cases. We were in high school running a lan party in a basement using those lightbulb-socket to 2-prong adapters with some 3-prong to 2-prong death-dapters and got a nice little tingle from the metal on our computer cases.

@ret @LilahTovMoon @chfour it's pretty easy when grounding fails to have floating stuff capacitively coupled so you see an AC voltage on a multimeter. Often that will drive very little current if given it a lower resistance path to ground. However a second fault so it isn't floating but directly connected will drive a lot more current... It should be easy for equipment like the charger to check for ground being disconnected in some ways.
