@neauoire That was one of my motivations! I remember y'all writing about that a while ago, and I'm honestly just as excited for solar from an ecological perspective as for a living-by-the-seasons perspective.

I've been working through a little mechanical engineering book these last few months, all analog (pencil, paper, slide rule), and I appreciate that things like this -- sewing is another good one -- start to feel increasingly appealing as the days grow shorter.
