I’m looking forward to your investigative journalism piece that proves it’s all a farce. Until then, I’m uninterested in shallow dismissals. Yeah! But yes you are correct, Apple devices do interact with other companies’ computers and some people think that’s bad @jamiemccarthy @paul *Does* Apple count AI data centers (theirs or third-party operated) in that figure, though? I’d be more confident in that figure if it specifically accounted for anticipated or actual figures from data centers used for Apple Intelligence (since AI servers consume significantly higher amounts of power than 'typical' cloud servers). @jamiemccarthy @paul @MattF_NorCal and if apple where to limit that the same people will be angry because apple limit connectivity (they never are happy yet they do nothing XD) @paul Au contraire! In Finland we run them with low-carbon electricity and then capture the waste heat for district heating. It’s sort of an electric kettle but made from CPUs 😁  The latter?
