Like the last zine, people can see movements or even small affinity groups as a place to play tyrant. Going back to the technical, this zine is a (mostly correct IMO) guide for setting up a burner phone. Some people might feel they need their phone for actions. Maybe they do. Maybe they don't. "The Guide to Peer-to-Peer, Encryption, and Tor" covers alternative messaging apps and why you might use them. Moving toward increasing specialized, "Thread Modeling Fundamentals" describes frameworks for assessing risk an using models to plan actions so that we can all make it home at night. At this point we've covered the basics and even some advanced topics, but some of these guides are a little too in depth. Sometimes it's nice to have short starters for other people to pick up and quickly read. Some older zines, especially those about internet technologies, can be rather outdated, so read older material with a bit extra skepticism. |
