Folx frequently ask me about security culture, both technical and social, so here's a reading list (in maybe the order you should read them). There's some overlap and contradictions between the zines, but that's not a bad thing. No one is completely right (not even me), and with something as likely to have serious consequences as security errors, always get at least 2 opinions.

First up is "Confidence, Connection, Courage, Trust." It's the best zine out there for finding a starting point for developing a security culture. It discusses how to create security culture without becoming paralyzed by paranoid.

"Mobile Phone Security" explains how phones work and how they can endanger us, and it gives concrete recommendations for a wide variety of scenarios. It's available in english, italian, spanish, and german.

Yes, that is not a good move, but basically everyone is constantly doing wildly unsafe computer shit because sometimes they just need to fucking make it work. FFS people still email passport photos around offices and they end up sitting on some corporate mail server (and a local copy) for a decade cuz Walter the dinosaur is still around and never empties his inbox.

"Unsafe" shit happens all the time, but also you fucking techy weirdos don't face fuckall for repression, so I'm really not interested in hearing anything from you people about this situation.
