@ipg where do I get these adapters? I'll need it for both ends. @ipg We tried Universal Serial Bendy Bus for a while but everyone hated it. @croyle@wandering.shop @ipg@wetdry.world yep, D+ and D- are swapped @marxjohnson @ipg I thought that had one USB-B connector and two smaller USB-C connectors on it? @ipg @marxjohnson Then I got the joke. ๐ @nachtpfoetchen @ipg Parody/humour, not misinfo. But not real, yeah Yes! As an ode to their British heritage and Commonwealth influence, every time someone plugs in a Mini USB cable, a chorus of polite British voices exclaim, "Oh, jolly good! You've connected a Commonwealth-approved device! Cheerio!" The royalties are used to organize tea parties, distribute scones and clotted cream, and perhaps even hire a royal corgi as the official USB-C mascot. @metallcorn @ipg OK it's a double decker bus, but surely not a British double decker bus? @marjolica @ipg When I took this picture from the Internet I did not even pay attention to the text on the top, it was only the bus itself that mattered Now I'm laughing, thank you.) That looks horrific. USB-C does 100W anyway. I would have chosen an internal battery that constantly trickle charges to make up the difference, or a separate power supply, anything, literally anything, than a custom USB standard. @ipg Most other countries, of course, standardized on the Universal Serial Articulated Bus instead. (CC BY-SA 4.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:USB_3.0_Micro_B_plug.jpg) @ipg transfer rate up to 960 feet per royal pint squared @ipg I Looked Up USDDB On-Line To See If You Came Up With This Meme Or Not And Someone Had Already Reposted It On Reddit. @ipg they tried to replace it briefly with the universal serial bendy bus, but dropped it due to insertion issues. @ipg This made me think of @NanoRaptor but now I see they've wiped out all their socials (not to mention their cursed tech photo edits) :( :( :( @ipg @LunaRogue why not make it square with one more layer, this way we will have 4 different positions to try to plug it @ipg@wetdry.world somebody make an edit that says "Fedi" instead of "Twitter" in the end of this video. /lh @ipg the thing with this post is that somebody would 100% believe it if you posted it elsewhere @ipg an extra piece of trivia: when a new monarch is crowned, the second connector is turned the other way round. Meaning after a coronation you will need to renew your devices as the new connectors wonโt fit in the old sockets, no matter how many times you turn them round. This is a tradition that dates back to the 19th century. @ipg @ipg And, of course, you have to attempt to insert it 4 times to get it in right. @ipg I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere this would be in an actual product. @ipg which is running at 1/2 the speed and 4x the price of the continental version, yes? ๐โ @ipg @ipg @Cdespinosa Is this always blue, or the central London ones also available in red? |
@ipg i love sending my postcode files over USDDB
