Why would Fdroid remove it? And even if they do Thunderbird can make a fdroid repo for it. Either way I agree. I'm not going to make a google account just so I can use Thunderbird Android. (I know Aurora Store exists, but frankly I haven't had a reason to use it since if it's a proprietary service, I'll use it on a browser on my laptop).
