@groosha@Gargron if it isn't hard for ya, can you tell us why we are using favorites on Mastodon instead of likes? And how bookmarks' purpose is different from favorites?
@sasha_sorokin@groosha Favourites because I was never on board with Twitter changing them to likes, originally they were intended as bookmarks essentially, social bookmarks. The reason we now have bookmarks as well is people have been using favourites so liberally that they needed another way to bookmark the stuff they actually wanted to find again
