@stage7 I mean sure, but I do appreciate how much that one looks like a Pride pentagram. Maybe we could just use it for something else? @stage7 this is brilliant. We have a saying: "beating the donkey's shadow" which can be applied to the current fedidrama over logos. @stage7 Your toot has inspired me to create my own Fediverse logo! Thanks! Silencing interactions because my phone burns. Whatever you want to say in this toot I ain't reading all that, I'm happy for u tho or sorry that happened. That middle one is pretty decent, actually, which is funny as it's the only one which (imo) is, and it's the only one I've never seen before... 🤔 @Blort@social.tchncs.de @stage7@owo.cafe alas the middle one is made by facebook I don't think we need to worry about logos when people are calling it "Fediverse". @billyjoebowers @stage7 Yeah, gotta agree. I love the fediverse in principal, but "Fediverse" is still a cringey name. On top of that there are still plenty of technical issues and communication/education issues @stage7 No. Logos are a primal thing. Logos have been around as long as religions and societies. A logo is inevitable. It's also inevitable that most of them will suck. @stage7 brb writing a Very Formal Blog Post about why the fediverse should use three cats as its logo |
