@dko as a linguist fluent in Japanese it's always funny which words are taken as if there were no English equivalent.

Anime, emoji, hentai (doesn't even mean porn in jp)

Shibari is literally bondage, the choice to not use that word indicates a further fetishization of the Japanese language or perhaps a fundamental misunderstanding? Or did you really learn the word shibari before bondage?
