@steamdeckhq the verge headline is misleading (to me) in that it makes it seem like there’s an official collaboration. They are just making sure it works better on the hardware. ROG will officially only support Windows. @Aristarchus That is correct. It’s really just Valve making it compatible and not an official alternative. @steamdeckhq although it doesn't mean ROG Allys with SteamOS factory pre installed (I wouldn't be surprised if there some monetary arrangement between Microsoft and ASUS to ship most of the hardware with Windows preinstalled), it does mean a future where pluggin a USB drive and installing SteamOS gets much easier. |
