@tommi Cool! I've been using a monoline theme, but had to kind of botch it together. This looks a lot more refined, so will definitely check it out. At the very least, it's going to be more material for botching my own version. πŸ™ƒ

@friend Could you please share it? I haven’t learned yet, but I intend to package everything in an implementation that is simpler to install, such as a theme or am extension.

Having some inspiration would be great!

@tommi Well, the one I currently use is basically this with a few tweaks: github.com/ahmetozer/firefox-o

Which isn't packaged better than yours...

And well, to my knowledge, better packaging is hardly possible.
Firefox's theming API or extension API doesn't offer this kind of low-level access anymore.
There's also no stability guarantees for the userChrome.css-file. If Mozilla switches up the theme again, your theme will break.

@tommi
Only thing you could do, is to write a script which finds the user's profile directory(/-ies) and installs the file into there.
The about:config value could be set with a user.js-file: kb.mozillazine.org/User.js_fil

But yeah, this is quite heavy-handed. And given that the theme can break or may look broken, depending on the OS or other Firefox config, you probably only want technical users (who can tweak this stuff themselves) anyways...
