@Gargron Essentially there are different tiers of murder charge with various degrees of severe punishment based on intent, premeditation, effect, etc., I’m simplifying it a lot. Third degree murder is what someone gets charged with for essentially an “accidental“ killing caused by their wanton recklessness. Basically the state saying, “Well well well, you made a big oopsie and killed that guy. Should’ve known better!”
