@jplebreton @lands My only time playing MtG was with a group at work that were really good players and they destroyed me. I'd love to find an in-person group closer to my skill level.

@grumpygamer @jplebreton @lands Finding good players who are willing to meet you where you are is so important for enjoying the game.
I played a game last night where as I was about to end my turn, knowing I was doomed, my opponent asked "would you like a suggestion?" When I said yes, she pointed out a neat interaction between two of my cards that would let me win. So I won - but more importantly, we both had fun! She got to show off her skill, and I learned a bit of depth in the rules.
I feel like this is how expert players should engage with the rest of us, really.
