@coffe @ernie That is an example of a "ratchet," a term I like because it sounds like "racket." A literal ratchet is a mechanism that permits net movement in only one direction. Since we're talking about the informational realm, it's also an example of "mirror shades," which is a wearable type of "one way mirror." Panopticon is another term that comes to mind. Transparency is a blessing only if it goes both ways. Equiveillance.
