@Gargron Naw, it's really not. Altho I will say I think it means a lot more to fans who have been following along with the animated series and games. There's actually more meat to it than I was expecting, rather than just a contemplative man in the desert trying to figure out where it all went wrong kind of thing.
@Gargron Is there a contract that all future tales of the Star Wars universe must use dialog to explain EVERYTHING as Lucas liked to do, rather than allow the audience to infer and discover on their own? Also, what’s with the terrible CGI?
@Gargron What didn't you like? I thought child Leia was a bit of an exaggeration of what a know-it-all-kid would be like, but otherwise really liked the first two parts.
I enjoyed it. They're staging the story for the journey to come.
In Jedi history this point in time is probably their lowest. They fell from power and fell hard. The story so far really gets that message across. Can't wait to see where they take it.
