@Gargron did you pass by Grisedale Tarn above the pass? In legend, the last king of Cumbria's crown was thrown in there so that he might take it up again and drive the Anglo Saxons out of the land.

@tomharris We attempted to reach the Grisedale Tarn twice on different paths but only made it about half or 3/4 way there before turning back. So sadly no Cumbrian crown for me.

@Gargron Ah that's a shame, it's a good tarn. Plenty of other lakes to look at in the area though!
