Gregory's ServerNormalize referring to hard coded domains in software used for pushing updates, pushing configuration changes or dynamic code, etc. "C&C domains" (in the malware sense).
And block them all as such.

 @dalias Well there's long existing usage for calling auto-updating software/configuration botnets, which I think is a bit more transparent and well-known in meaning than "C&C domains".

I believe this is useful terminology for distro policy, e.g. in the sense of "packagers must patch out all C&C domain names".
