Still, from the technical writing regarding this, it could indeed be a much better way of having ads, if the industry insists bullishly on having them that is. Better these than actually tracking ads, but better no ads than any ads

@mcc lol, precisely! still, they do use an anonymising service before sending that stuff to the ad companies, but even if all that is true, I don't think ad companies would accept so little information, so probably this will never take off, and it'll be yanked from firefox. In the meantime, I disabled it and hopefully it sinked to all my other devices as well
