We have arrived back into Canada, Pino is docked in Prince Rupert. We are tired and tired.

It had been a LONG time since we've done an overnight sail. The first was very nice, with calm seas, good wind, and so much wild life! We stopped pointing out breaching whales to each other because there were so many. I saw a puffin for the first time, many sea otters, and lots of black-footed albatrosses(they're so big)!

The second was in big weather, with rough seas... not as relaxing.

We had a very stressful engine issue since before arriving in Sitka. We figured out what was wrong in the end(bad thermostat), but for a while we couldn't depend on it... it made for very anxiety-inducing moments. Twice we had to sail and row Pino to an anchoring spot. Occasional gusts of wind made it easier to progress toward our planned anchoring spot.
Rowing is hard, but it's not as bad as rowing while getting devoured by hundreds of tiny biting flies... :neofox_scream:

@cbleslie we talk about that a lot, it’s be amazing, but it’s hard to make a robust system, esp one we can deploy fast and that won’t get in the way while not in use.
The getting in the way part is very tricky, the giant oars we have also get in the way, but at least they are not fixed to the boat.
