@ProfessorGumby @j @me There's also a psychological effect where you brain essentially stops writing memories of things it considers mundane repetitive tasks that you do frequently. Hence the feeling of things like 'I drove home on autopilot and have no recollection of anything on the trip' As I remember it, you can break this effect by explicitly noting things during the repetition and either telling someone else or writing a journal that forces you to use the memories. |

Exactly. To a one year old child, one year is a lifetime. To a 20 year old, one year is 5% of a lifetime. When you get to 50 years old, it's down to 2%. It's all relative
