Gregory's Server@sabi first modem was 14k4, but I left home probably a month after that and got a 100 mbit line at my new university. Four years later I bought an ISDN and was appalled the rest of the country was still there. Guess I was spoiled very early on.

@evi I had a similar experience! Slow dialup, spoiled by Ethernet at college, and then couldn’t get broadband for several years
