@luka a <certain> commercial photo sharing platform especially caused some pretty exhausting social media practices to be the norm and required. :)

:) I think even better than just emoticons a genuine comment that says why somebody liked a work or asks about process. or mention your work because they just liked it. It is the type of interaction that I rarely see and makes fediverse so much more rewarding.

Or even a shout-out to all the followers, specially if using a different main language instance (like I see something nice on a English of French or whatever instance and I translate it to suggest the toot to all my Italian followers). |

I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate the civil conversational vibe of fediverse/mastodon and how different that is from birdsite and other surveillance tracking algorithmic social media. I appreciate every post that brings attention to behaviour (and tools) that makes this space different.
