Several months back a colleague started using an LLM to “improve” their emails, checking for grammar, improving flow, etc. I knew they’d done this within seconds of opening up their first LLM’d email sent to me, and it made me incredibly sad. To be fair, this person was not a good writer, but at least they had a voice that was uniquely theirs. They chose to give that up, and for what?
