@samhenrigold The bad timeline is taking most of Europe, it's true. There is a glimmer of hope, though. The UK (who would have thought it?!)is about to purge itself of the whole right-wing, populist insanity in the coming general election.

Of course, the UK has absolutely no influence over Europe anymore after indulging the arseholes in 2016 so,I dunno... better than nothing?

The headlines say "huge far right gains", and you look at the numbers https://www.theguardian.com/world/ng-interactive/2024/jun/09/european-elections-results-2024-europe-eu-parliament and it's a tiny fraction. Except in France. This appears to be more of a France problem than an EU problem.
