I’ve had this idea sitting in my drafts for years now but it boils down to this:
- Windows has okay typesetting and horrendous font rendering
- Android has decent font rendering but all the other typography tools suck enormous ass
- I have never seen pretty typography under any Linux distro
- The Mac is the only machine that gets it right

As a low-dpi display user with no hope to upgrade, I like Windows font rendering a lot more than Mac's

@grishka You people are the reason I have to use pixel preview while making icons in figma like this is the fucking byzantine ages ☹️

sam henri gold, you still need to make sure your icons are pixel-perfect even on high dpi 😏

@samhenrigold I think the fonts in my GNOME environments are gorgeous. Other people, without prompting, have asked how I got them to look so good. They were like that out of the box without configuration. I can't stand to look at anything else, including macs.

I could simply be used to them

I am not a designer but I am a UI engineer if it matters
