Got a conundrum for you all. WWDC 2005 and 2006 sessions are basically lost media. I have found two live URLs of 2006 sessions from the wayback machine:

- devimages-cdn.apple.com/ADConi
- devimages-cdn.apple.com/XcodeN

I've been slotting in filenames from this archive (nonstrict.eu/wwdcindex/wwdc200) but nothing seems to be a match. I have no idea if I'm doing something wrong or if these are strangely the only two sessions available.

@samhenrigold When you’re looking for your next conundrum to solve:

In 2020 (remember those times?), at the end of the Platforms State of the Union, they showed a montage of black and white stills of developers working from home with a “we appreciate you” sort of message. However as far as I can tell, this was never released in any streamable/downloadable form after the live broadcast. I’d like to find it. (I was one of the developers shown.)

@thillsman That’s bizarre. They’ve done this a couple times, pulling a live segment for the VOD (there was a video at the Sept 2017 event that used a Beatles song and I’m guessing they couldn’t get the rights to stream it forever) so that’s lost media as well.

I’ll snoop around to see if it’s anywhere

@samhenrigold Wow, you’re a wizard! Thanks! I’m so glad that wasn’t a 2020 fever dream.

full disclosure, I ran through those two URL schemes with all of the session names and didn't get anything beyond those two original URLs. Generated URL list I tried: gist.github.com/samhenrigold/f

@samhenrigold finding someone who hoarded all the WWDC sessions back in the day (@siracusa?) seems like the only hope
