@w96k The money is actually donated to fiscal host, OpenCollectiveEurope in case of RDE). After that you can invoice the fiscal host on behalf of individual interpreneur or other legal entity and they will transfer money to corresponding account, the legal entity should pay taxes after that. The virtual card would allow to skip the invoice, taxes and all that and directly spend money from OCEs account. The donated money are fine, we just won't be able to spend them directly and transparently. @w96k We can still prepare and publish reports on how money were spent, but it kinda defy to some extent the purpose of OpenCollective IMO. |

Btw it would be nice to read or hear how opencollective works, what is your experience with this donating platform.
It is still a shame, that it looks like there is no similar donation service for crypto currencies, they would be much easier to control than fiat money, no 3rd party involved.
