@Gargron thanks to this project people have options. 👏 The onboarding experience is quite rough on the appside when the toots are empty and you follow no-one. Local & Federated views would help a lot in this regard. @Gargron congrats on the massive influx of new users! Hoping to be a contributor in the near future. @Gargron We appreciate all the hard work and continued investment over these past few years! @Gargron thanks ! Will definitely donate once my paycheck hits at the end of the month ;) @Gargron Really appreciate your dedication but do make sure you take care of yourself. @Gargron Only so many priorities one can manage within a given timeframe and it seems you're doing awesome. Thank you! @Gargron mate, just keep doing whatever you're doing. Mastodon is popping off rn @Gargron you do what you can and let the community help pick up the slack. This shows you and the community behind Mastodon have a good project for others to turn to. @Gargron I’m more than happy weathering the storm of growing pains if people like you are as hardworking as you seem to be! More people are rooting for you than not! @gargron You are doing a great job! I imagine it to be a mix of huge happiness/exitement but with anxiousness. This must be hard and will ease in some time I think. You will look back proudly! @Gargron One thing I'd appreciate is updating the translations on https://joinmastodon.org ... People are translating it but it's not getting pushed to the live site. @Gargron Thank you so much for all the work you’ve put in on this. When things move really quickly and you don’t know if you’re doing the right thing, be guided by your own principals. Sometimes your brain has to ask your heart “is this the right thing to do?” And be guided by what feels right. You’ll be good. @Gargron Thank you for this 🙏 beautiful platform, please don't sell it to the highest bidding billionaires... @Gargron Hang in there. This must be very stressful but you made it happen so far. @Gargron I can relate. When I was younger I had a music streaming service called StreamDrag. It was cool, had a few thousand users. Then mashable.com featured it. And I wasn't prepared for it. And back then there was no K8s or whatever to drag a slider for more power. I can relate :) But apparently, at this moment, everythings working fine. @Gargron I am sure your doing a great job. I have a wish though. Is it possible to close out the Russian bots from this platform? Or better yet, all bots? Because the angry hateful bot comments and stalkers was a really painful experience on Twitter. If Mastodon could be a lighter place for us who didn't like the dark side of Twitter, I think it would be awesome. Thank you so much! 💗 @Gargron I originally signed up in 2019, but forgot about it since then. It is quieter here than on the bird app, but over the last couple of days there has been enough activity that it's engaging and makes me come back. I guess that is a key threshold for most users. As a developer, I'm very interested to see how this will scale. Fingers crossed! @Gargron @Gargron If you demanded one Tenochtitlan-style sacrifice per post, you’d still be the sanest microblogging mogul in the news. @Gargron I'm glad that You are having success... this is an excellent platform. I use it every day. You're not, and that's fine. Trying to do every idea that appears to you without any thought as to consequences is how you end up sleepwalking into some things that turn out to be REALLY BAD IDEAS in hindsight. @Gargron Given that the new attention might mean more new instances, is any thought being given to this functionality? It would really help new admins to be able to nab some trusted instance's moderated servers list to use as a starting point. https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/15664 |
@Gargron IMO that just means you're doing something right.
