@daniel Could we get an eta, or at least a progress report? I'm currently cut off from everyone. To only have notice on mastodon a day before is pretty shit tbh. I'm already having a hell of a time keeping people on xmpp, this is not helping.

Seconded, the notice should be broadcast to all users on the server, and not merely announced on Mastodon.

@melessa @daniel Ho, ok so that's what's going on, I though some weird past bug came back to bite me.

Unfortunately I couldn't find the link to https://status.conversations.im or the info about the maintenance on https://conversations.im

The process was: conversations.im => Daniel's website => Daniel's mastodon account => and thankfully there is info there.

Same here. IMHO it's always a good idea to have 2 accounts on different xmpp servers, you can keep the second one temporarily disabled or not, but in times like these it may be useful. (I have 3 different accounts, but most of my friends are only on conversations.im)
