@Igigog @PurpleJillybeans like most people I know a little about computers. I know nothing about how to support a Linux OS on a PC. and from everything I’ve read unless you like spending time reading manuals or building tech yourself there is no off the shelf windows-like option for the masses so you really need to be a computer person to use Linux. It seems like a missed opportunity that no one has commercialized a real challenger to Windows or iOS.

@Gbutera @PurpleJillybeans my understanding is, there is no real profit behind it. Normal people will use windows because they used windows since forever and because everyone else uses windows and because they don't know what operating system or privacy is. Making UX good enough will by itself take a lot of time and money - personally I don't see how it will pay for itself.

@Gbutera @PurpleJillybeans Also, to be fair, there are Linux systems made exactly to be easy, like Linux Mint. I don't think it will need maintenance at all, but I'm too advanced to have a good understanding of the problem from the normal point of view.
