 @nikitonsky a JDK package is 300 MB (compressed) in my distro: https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/jdk21-openjdk/ I doubt even web apps download _that_ much on first visit (I'll be very sad if they do, at least) |

I also think this argument lost its power a while ago. Nobody cares about download sizes anymore. There are websites that download more on first visit than JVM total size
