@jan_mayen@schreddergeld they are a fairly faint glow - photos always make them look more spectacular than they are to the naked eye. I think these were about 20 seconds at iso 6400 - but at f8 (was on a tripod). Not bright enough to photo by hand unless you have either an amazing lens or a very steady hand ;)
