@drewdevault Mario Kart DS is definitely one of my favorites :)

I can listen to the OST for hours and hours straight...

@drewdevault I liked Phantom Hourglass and Mario Kart DS. I liked Metroid Prime: Hunters, although it has some obvious flaws.

While there's an absolute metric tonne of shovelware, the DS is home to some of my favorite games of all time:

- New Super Mario Bros
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (and all the sequels and spinoffs)
- Professor Layton and the Curios Village
- Elite Beat Agents
- Mario & Lugi: Bowser's Inside Story

And a DSi exclusive:
Shantae: Risky's Revenge

@drewdevault honestly seems to be the case with Nintendo generally.

Every platform comes with rehashes of the same 1st party franchises, then there's a fuck load of really cheap and nasty, and sometimes a very few gems shine through.

No-one seems to see Nintendo consoles as platforms to do "serious" development of the medium.

@drewdevault Try the ones from Skip Ltd. (art style series and Electroplankton) or Intelligent Systems (WarioWare, Rhythm Paradise and Advance Wars). I also have fond memories of Soul Bubbles and Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow.

@drewdevault This feels like you're invoking Cunningham's law to get game recommendations

@drewdevault Which are your preferences? NDS has a vast catalog and I'm sure there will be some you'll enjoy. Some of my favorites:
* Ghost Trick
* Nine Doors, Nine Persons, Nine Hours
* The 3 Castlevania games (plus the 3 for GBA that play nicely on the NDS).
