 @gamingonlinux @rdnielsen The "Mastodon effect" is a real thing, but its impact will depend heavily on how a site is set up. I'm surprised a news site would struggle with it. @rdnielsen yes, and so far from this post being multiple times more popular than the majority of their posts.... there's literally no issue
