Gregory's Server#TIL that Amazon's "Just Walk Out" stores were a hoax. The "AI" in the system was actually a horde of cheap workers acting as remote cashiers.

@garritfra yes. And the same is true for "self driving taxis". People in India remote-controlling on average 5 taxis to get them out of pickles. Without a US drivers license, obviously.
