Hakazi being overly dramatic about his headache.

A portion of a comic, showing a young Hakazi complaining about having a headache to his babysitter. "It's like my brain's trying to come out of my ears!" he says. "Ah-! It's happening, it's coming out!" he says in another frame, his body trembling (he's exagerating). The babysitting Stella is talking on the phone, "Take a nap" she tells him before walking away. Hakazi is drawing his face down with his hands in a dramatic way while saying, "A NAP, she says!"

And it's done! It's called "Kaizah".

Page one of a comic. Stella is talking on the phone with someone, "Kaizah's with me now," she says. Kaizah is in the room, he's holding his head, "My heart hurts" he says. "Hold on, ill move to another room" Stella replies.
"It's like my brain's trying to come out of my ears!" Kaizah says, "AH! It's happening! It's coming out!" he exagerates. "Take a nap" Stella tells him. Kaizah is being overly dramatic, flattening his face with his hands "a NAP, she says!"
At this point, Robin enters the room. "Two days until you get to go home, you excited?" she asks Kaizah. "Home is a very concept for me at this point. This is my 3rd placement in 4 years, remember?" Kaizah says back to her.
"NOPE! Stop. No pity parties allowed!" Robin says, with a great big smile."Pity party pooper." Kaizah says, a bit amused. "Say that 10 time real fast" Robin says.
Robin shows him a videogame cartridge with two bulbous characters on it, called SinSin. "This is what we're doing instead!"
"What's that?" Kaizah said, having never before played a videogame before. "It's a game, I'll teach you how to play." Robin says.

Robin is teaching Kaizah to play SinSin. "The goal of the game is to work together to get to the end without dying." she explains. "M'kay" Kaizah says. "You Jump with A, attack with B. Just remember, don't step on the red tiles. They kill you. Any questions?" Kaizah looks at the controller, a bit puzzled, "Kind of a lot." Robin replies, "Let's just play. You'll catch on."
Kaizah's character stepped on what appears to be a red tile, his character is on fire. "Woops, you stepped on a red tile!" Robin says. "I thought I was the other guy." Kaizah replies. "I'm the red guy, you're the green guy." Robin explains. "It all looks the same to me." Kaizah says, frustrated.
Robin looks at him, "Wait, are you color blind?" Kaizah looks annoyed, "I dont see in black and white." Robin explains, "No no, it means you don't see certain colors."
"Oh." Kaizah replies, looking down all of a sudden. "It's not a big deal." Robin says to comfort him. "Whatever, it's fine. I don't care." Kaizah replies.

Robin smiles, "Yea, it is fine! Let's keep playing. We'll make up our own rules!" Kaizah seems to be preoccupied by something else, he can hear a phone conversation Stella is having in the next room that Robin can't hear. "Hey you ok?" Robin asks. Suddenly, something is said that makes Kaizah freak out. He stands and appears frozen, wide-eyed. "Kai?" Robin asks, concerned. He's unresponsive. Stella finished her phone conversation, she's leaning against the kitchen counter top, looking a bit distraught. Suddenly she hears Robin calling her, "MOM!" Stella hurries into the room, "What happened?" she asks. "Kai is freaking me out!" Stella kneels down in front of Kai, "What's wrong?"
Kaizah is crying, "I heard what you said, he doesn't want me back. Not ever."
Stella stares at him, looking sad, at a loss for words.

The next day...
Kaizah is lying down on a sofa bed, looking sad. Stella is also in the room, working from a table next to the sofa bed. "It's getting dark in here." Stella says. Kaizah reacts to her saying this, pouting. Stella turns the light on. Kaizah stares at the turned on light, "Tcht!" he says. He stares at it and looks angry, "Fuck you." he says.
Stella turns to him, "Excuse me?" Kaizah gestures at the light with his arms, "Not you! The light! It's flickering!" Stella corrects him, "No it's not."
Kaizah stares at her from over the top of the sofa bed. "Turn it off." Stella tries to continue working, "Im working. You want me to ruin my eyes?" Kaizah is frowning, he replies "Yes."

Stella frowns "Don't be mean." Kaizah is angry, "You're the mean one! You don't care that it bothers me!" Stella stands up, she gathers her things, "Sigh. I'll go work from the kitchen." She then leaves the room. "You didn't close it!" Kaizah yells at her as she leaves.
He is sitting alone, upset, then he hears a POK sound as a baseball hits the glass of the window next to him. "The hell was that..." He goes out to look, "Whoa! It's you!" he says.

The young feral kid he met in the forest a few days ago is there, on the sidewalk, looking up at him with the baseball next to him. "You followed me here? This is crazy!" Kaizah says. The kid is frowning up at him. "And you're still making that face! You've got nothing to be mad about! We left you alone, just like you wanted!"
Suddenly, the kid starts crawling up the wall fast to get to the window where Kaizah is. Kaizah hurries to close the window "OH shit oh shit!". He closes it in time. The kid stares at him through the glass, frowning still. "This is a ninja! He got up here so fast! Did you come here to end me? You're too late. I just died." Kaizah explains through the glass. "You're seeing me as I was, but I'll probably disappear soon. If i don't, it means that you're dead too" Kaizah tells him. The kid is now sitting on the window sill, staring at him.

"So, what do you want?" Kaizah asks him. The kid makes a gesture with his hands. "What is that? Can't you talk?" Kaizah asks. The kid gestures again. "Oh, i think I get it! You want food right? That's what this gesture means! Hakazi equals food I guess! Hakazi is my name. Its an anagram of my human name."
Kaizah opens the window again then, "Youre way less aggressive than last time. Is it cause you were sick? You look ok now, that's good! You can come in if you want, but don't make a mess. Any day now, Stella's gonna kick me out, but I don't wanna get the boot today you know?" He says to the kid. The kid starts to enter the room, but then looks up at the ceiling.

"What's wrong? Why'd you stop?" Kaizah asks. The kid stares at the ceiling behind him. Kai looks back and sees the light on the ceiling that is still on. The kid hides one eye with his hand, looking annoyed. "It bothers you too huh? Heh, it's nice not to feel crazy!" Suddenly, the kid turns away from him and leaps off the window sill. "Hey! Hey wait!" Hakazi says, as he runs away.

@rek Your shading has improved so much! I enjoyed the story too, fantastic work. What do you do to keep the pages from smudging?

@rostiger I just insert paper inbetween the pages so they don't smear on each other, that's really it tho :P.
My hand does smudge it up a bit when I draw, but I try to build the shading from the top right frame to the bottom left frame to reduce smearing (I'm a lefty).

i really enjoyed this sequence and the visual style and texture btw.
