To insist that being critical of Israel's genocide is antisemitism & that everything Jewish is identical to Israel, will turn people into real antisemites.

@dukepaaron @besendorf @aral @beta3 You're not an antisemite if you dislike IDF snipers killing children. But if enough pro-Israel voices (and it is unimportant if the voices are indeed Jewish) keep insisting that "criticism of Israel is attacks on Judaism", those of our species who are easily led may end up believing them. And assume that disliking IDF snipers killing children, means that they must also dislike their Jewish neighbour, even if both are in Europe or the US.

@madies @besendorf @aral @beta3 you're arguing against something I didn't say. Here's the deal. Nobody turns people into antisemites. Some college kid at Rutgers is magically transformed into hating the Jew next door because Israel did something shitty? That's absurd. There's nothing wrong with criticizing Israel. Nothing wrong with being antiwar. None of that. But trying to blame antisemitism on some or all of the Jews can get fucked.
